新酒预告：不完美的完美世界 • New Beer: "Perfection is a Little Bit of Chaos"

太激动了！这是我们特意邀请艺术家Blanca Rosa 为京A“上都”系列创作的设计。同时也借机推出这次发布的新酒：上都ユズ——一款口感轻快、柑橘口味浓郁的酸啤。为了庆祝这两件好事儿，我们决定本周五（1月29日）提供这款新酒的限量版新鲜罐装，瓶身就是这幅作品！

We’re over the moon with the incredible new artwork for our long-running Xanadu series, and we’re celebrating with the release of limited-edition fresh-fill cans this Friday, January 29! It’ll feature this beautiful new painting by artist Blanca Rosa, and the latest in the Xanadu line – a sparkling citrus Yuzu sour!

上都系列新成员：在柏林酸小麦的基础上添加了大量的新鲜日本柚子，并用乳酸菌发酵。这款浅麦秆色的啤酒口感轻快，带有浓郁的柑橘酸味和淡淡的酒花苦味。

The latest in our Xanadu series of Berliner Weisse-style sours features generous additions of fresh yuzu. This pale straw ale was soured with the use of lactobacillus for bright tart citrus notes, a sparkling mouthfeel and low hop bitterness.

这幅画的作者是一位“生在北京、住在北京”的女艺术家：Blanca Rosa。她的作品充满活力、力量和色彩；通常折射出一些女性视角、民间故事和神话传说。

她在创作中汇集来自世界各地的灵感，然后注入独特的“京味儿”。这次跟京A合作，她创造了一个微型宇宙。我们跟她聊了聊这幅画的灵感来源。

This new artwork for our Xanadu series is by Beijing-born and Beijing-based artist Blanca Rosa. Her work is vibrant, empowering, and colorful, often celebrating Women and reflecting folk stories and myths.

In murals and paintings, she draws together a dizzying range of influences that span the globe, infusing them with a distinct “Beijing-rooted” sensibility. For 京A she’s created nothing less than a miniature universe, and we spoke to her about where it all came from:

Q&A: Blanca Rosa

“‘上都’这个名字本来指元朝的夏都，如今用来代表人们对天堂、对完美都市的构想。但是对我来说，无论是‘完美’还是‘对完美的追求’，也有阴暗的一面。

所以我想通过融入自然界中那些意想不到的元素，在这个完美世界里加入一些混乱和惊喜。通过对权力和等级制度的展现，重新唤起人们对上都‘天堂’的思考。”

“The name Xanadu, originally the summer capital of the Yuan dynasty, has come to represent the idea of a paradise, a perfect city. But to me, there’s something dark about “perfection” and the pursuit of it.

So I wanted to represent chaos and surprise, something that brings together unexpected elements of nature. Within that, I wanted to represent power and hierarchy, a reimagining of the “paradise” of Xanadu.”

“这幅画的中心是一棵生命树，代表了富足的水果和自然的馈赠，也是‘上都’系列啤酒的核心。从初稿开始，它始终是作品的核心。”

“In the center is a tree of life, representing the bounty of fruits and natural gifts that are at the heart of the “Xanadu” series of beers. Even in my early drafts, it was always the heart of the piece.”

“我的灵感来源比较广：包括亚洲的山水画（尤其是配色方面！）和古老的中国火柴盒艺术品；也借鉴了中亚艺术，印度莫卧儿王朝的宫廷细密画，墨西哥的惠乔尔（Huichol）民间艺术；还有出现在欧洲中世纪书籍边缘的奇怪生物。”

“I was inspired by a combination of Asian landscape paintings (especially with the color scheme!) and old Chinese matchbox artwork, but it also draws on elements from central Asian art, Mughal miniatures paintings in India, Huichol folk art from Mexico and the strange creatures you’d find drawn in the margins of medieval European books.”

“我希望大家可以仔细观察和享受这幅画中的所有小细节！当然，（幸好）北京没有巨大的火龙，但对我来说，在一个离奇的熔炉里达到超乎想象的和谐感，跟有时候的北京挺像的。”

“I hope people look closely and enjoy all the little details I sprinkled throughout! Of course, we don’t have giant flaming dragons in Beijing (thankfully) but to me, the idea of a surreal melting pot held together in an unexpected harmony feels like what Beijing, at its best, can be.”

本周五（1月29日）起，京A幸福村店开始出售这款上都ユズ 限量版新鲜罐装！

Fresh-filled cans of Yuzu Xanadu will be available in limited quantities at Friday the 29th of January, from Xingfucun Brewpub only!
